College Uniform – Compulsory
- Black jacket with Rye College seal
- Clip on or conventional college tie – KS3 & KS4 are different in design (available from the College)
- Black tailored trousers or skirt (in a conventional polyester/terylene type material) Skirts are to be worn no shorter than 6cm above the knee
- Formal white shirt, short or long sleeved for both boys and girls
- Plain black short socks for boys and girls. Black or flesh coloured tights for girls
- Plain black shoes of a conventional style. Boots, trainers, high heels, platform shoes of any variety are NOT acceptable
Optional
- Black V-neck jumper with purple trim (available from the College)
- Black, purple or silver gym sack with College logo (available from the College)
- Black long handle cotton tote bag with College logo (available from College)
- Plain black waterproof jacket for winter sports
PE Kit Boys/Girls – Compulsory
- Grey polo shirt with Rye College logo (available from College)
- Plain black jogging bottoms
- Purple sports socks (available from the College)
School Bag & Equipment
- School bags must be large enough to take an unfolded A4 sheet of paper.
- Pens, pencils, ruler, pencil sharpener and eraser are essential.
- An English dictionary and a calculator are also desirable.
- Reasonably priced bags are available from the school shop.
Hairstyles, Make-up, Nails
- The College reserves the right to decide what an acceptable hairstyle is.
- No hair colourings other than natural shades are allowed.
- Discreet make-up only.
- Students will be asked to remove excessive make-up and nail polish.
- False nails and false eyelashes are not permitted in College and students will be asked to remove them.
Jewellery
- A watch (no other jewellery is permitted).
- One small round/square stud earring in each ear lobe.
- No body piercings or tongue studs are allowed.
ALL CLOTHING MUST BE LABELLED WITH STUDENTS’ NAME
