Our ICT vision
In short.
We will use ICT to enhance learning across the college & the community. All involved will share & support our vision. and We will develop our understanding of the application of emerging technologies, and regularly review our strategy for the use of ICT in support of our goals.
The long version.
The Vision
We recognise that ICT will transform learning and we shall build our capability to respond to the opportunities this provides for our stakeholders and our community.
We shall establish technology based individual learning and explore ways of using ICT to extend learning into the community, bearing in mind the need to ensure equal access for all students.
We shall explore ways of using ICT to open up College based opportunities for learning within our wide, rural community as well as to access national and international learning opportunities for our students and staff.
Development and ownership of the vision
We will use a team of specialists to guide us and involve all staff when deciding next steps.
We will :
- develop the use of ICT across our college community to support more effective learning within and outside the normal college day.
- investigate partnerships that will enable us to equip the our college with developing technologies.
- develop technology technologies that enables us to become a learning centre for the whole community all day and all year.
Reviewing the Vision
We will continually evaluate the usefulness of new technologies and how they could benefit learning.
We will regularly review the effectiveness of technologies we use and develop our ICT strategy based on our findings.
