Enjoying
We are proud to be a specialist arts college, offering learners rich and varied experiences that make lessons come alive.
We want our students to enjoy learning, to grow in confidence and to be excited about discovering new talents.
Arts and enterprise experiences enrich learning across all subjects, developing self confidence, creative thinking and a love of learning.
We welcome visiting professional artists including visual artists, theatre groups, dance companies, film makers, designers, rappers and carnival performers. We take students to theatres, the opera, dance performances, pop concerts, exhibitions, museums and art galleries at home and abroad to support their learning across a wide range of subjects.
We are pleased to have been chosen as a Creative Partnerships Change School, believing that a rich arts experience makes learning an enjoyment.
Achieving
We expect that every one of our students will achieve more than they dreamt possible.
When students join us in Year 7, they develop the skills that they will need to become truly independent learners, working at different paces to achieve personal excellence. As they move into Year 10, they have the opportunity to choose subjects from a range of academic and vocational studies, following personal pathways to success.
Students develop ICT skills to support their learning throughout our college, having access to state of the art technologies. Across the Key Stages, we use our links with local and national businesses to bring learning alive, to develop enterprise skills and to encourage innovative and creative thinking.
