Introduction to Apps
What are Apps?
App is short for Application, or software.
Why use Apps?
Apps help you quickly access specific websites or parts of the internet, downloading the minimum amount of data - saving bandwidth.
How do I do it?
Depending on your phone / device:
Apple Apps store
If you use an iPhone, iPod or iTouch you will need an internet connection and you will use the App store. When you first use it the App store asks for a debit/credit card (even though most apps are free!).
It's fairly self explanitory, just look around the screen and use the buttons at the bottom to browse categories, top 25, search and updates.
Sometimes the App store will ask you to run an update, it's usually a good idea to make sure you are using a WIFI connection before you do updates.
Android market place
I will update this section once one of our teachers lends me their phone!
Nokia something
Same deal.
