Transport Arrangements
Location
Students travel to Rye College from both Kent and East Sussex on foot, by car, bus and train.
Buses
We are served by a number bus routes and a large number of our students travel to school this way.
Please make use of the resources available to help you understand your options and the schemes operated by the local authorities to support travel for students.
Stagecoach Services operate our most common public bus routes.
Trains
Rye College is just a five minute walk from the Rye rail station.

By Car
Rye College is located on Love Lane and The Grove, a single-lane road which can become particularly busy at peak times. The main school car park is also heavily used by staff and visitors, especially at the start and end of the school day.
To help ensure the safety of our students and to reduce congestion, we ask that parents and carers do not use the main school car park for drop-off or collection unless absolutely essential or unless this arrangement has been explicitly agreed with the school.
Instead, students should be dropped off in the morning and collected in the afternoon from the Rye Leisure Centre car park, which provides a safer and more accessible alternative and helps minimise traffic on Love Lane.
We kindly ask all parents and carers to support us with this arrangement, helping to keep traffic flowing safely and reducing pressure on the immediate school site. Please also be considerate of local residents by avoiding blocking driveways or access routes when dropping off or waiting to collect your child.
