This half term we have been really busy playing our Hastings and Rother Netball League fixtures. Year 7, 8, 10 and 11 currently play in the B league and year 8 are newly promoted to the A league. The year 7s are a brand new team who have only trained together a couple of times and they have done amazingly well. Winning 2 games and only losing one, meaning they have finished as B league runners up! The year 8 team have found the change of pace from the B to the A league challenging and unfortunately lost 2 games but held their own against St Richards in a 9 - 9 nail biter!! The year 9s have done really well and are turning into a really well established team. Like the year 7s they have finished as B league runners up, winning 2 and losing 1. The year 11 team have also made a great start to their season, winning their first game 9-2 and only losing their second game by one goal! The year 11s have one more match after half term to complete their league. However it is the year 10 team who have enjoyed the most success, winning all of their games and consequently being promoted back into the A league for next year which is definitely where they belong. It is really evident that they have played together as a team for years, their netball is a joy to watch and they have earned themselves a really good reputation in the local area. We have lots of friendly games booked in for next half term and then after Christmas we will be going to the Hastings and Rother district tournaments where we hope to build on what has already been a really successful season. Well done to everyone involved!
